2020 - A Year in Review with RCU - Responsible Cannabis Use

RCU - 2020 - A Year in Review

What a year it has been! We feel fortunate to have been able to continue growing RCU - Responsible Cannabis Use and are so thankful for all of your support. During a year that has challenged us in more ways than one, we are proud of what we have been able to accomplish and would like to share some highlights with you.

To help normalize cannabis, we put all cannabis laws in one place and launched canniknow.com

We launched canniknow.com, a cannabis education and awareness platform. While many support cannabis, most don’t know the laws or their rights in their own city, state, province, or country.

We also put together a series of cannabis quizzes on a variety of topics and engaged thousands of Canadians on social media.

Take a quiz and test your cannabis knowledge

In 2020, we included Canada, the United States, and South Africa. We look forward to continuing to grow Cann I Know and add more countries in 2021. Think of it as your one-stop-shop for medical and recreational cannabis regional laws across the globe!

To normalize cannabis at work, we developed a variety of e-learning courses for employers

CannEd is a cannabis e-learning course developed for employers and employees operating in regions where cannabis is medically or recreationally legalized. In 2020, we updated our general course, applicable to all employers, to have specific sections for a variety of industries including:

  • Cannabis education for trucking and transportation
  • Cannabis education for HR professionals
  • Cannabis education for insurance brokers
  • Cannabis education for police officers and security guards
  • Cannabis education for medical professionals (coming in 2021)

We partnered with EduCann, a South African cannabis education company, and Schindlers Attorneys, a South African legal firm that specializes in cannabis law to bring cannabis education to employers across South Africa. This partnership brings years of experience, expert insights, and a proven model for South African employers and HR professionals.

To normalize cannabis at home, we launched Stori with a pre-order and started shipping in December

We announced the launch of Stori - our smart cannabis storage product with a mission to fight cannabis stigma with beauty, function, and design. We have been overwhelmed by the support of the community. Launching a product is hard but even harder during a worldwide pandemic. Stori is currently on a plane heading to our distribution facility in Canada and we can’t wait to see photos of it in your homes!

To enhance the cannabis experience, we launched the Stori App so consumers and patients can learn more about the products they purchase, their preferences, and brands in their region

The Stori App is a progressive web application that helps cannabis consumers learn more about the products they’ve purchased, track their preferences, and see regional contests and offers from retailers and brands.

The Stori App is for everyone! You can use the app to keep track of your products in your current storage solution, or by using Stori’s colour-coded pods and tubes.

In just a few months, we’ve had over 2,000 sign-ups and continue to receive interest from hundreds of new users per week. We’ve also had the pleasure of partnering with Boveda, Blissco, and 7ACRES to give away a Stori unit to an app user every Friday in December 2020.
